Thank you for your interest in joining our team!

However, we do have limited spaces available for male athletes, and we welcome enquiries.
Our Club
Elizabeth Gymnastics Club was founded in 1961 at St. Peters College, later relocating to the YMCA hall. In 1977, we expanded to include girls’ gymnastics, operating out of the newly opened Elizabeth Recreation Centre.
In 1996, we moved to our current home, the Fremont Regional Gymnastics Centre. This marked a significant turning point for the club, with a new management team and a refreshed program structure to better support the growth and development of our athletes.
For over 50 years, we’ve proudly served the Elizabeth community, offering programs in Recreational and Competitive Gymnastics, Cheerleading, and Dance. More than 150 families from Adelaide’s northern suburbs are currently part of our thriving club.
In recent years, our athletes have continued to excel — for the past five years, we’ve had representatives in both the Men’s and Women’s South Australian State Teams, showcasing the strength of our training and dedication.
Our club thrives thanks to a passionate group of volunteers — including coaches, committee members, and parent helpers — many of whom contribute over 30 hours a week both on the floor and behind the scenes. All revenue is reinvested into the club through facility maintenance, equipment upgrades, and ongoing improvements.
In recognition of our commitment and excellence, we were named “Medium Club of the Year” in 2024 by the State Gymnastics Association, chosen from over 120 clubs statewide.
Elizabeth Gymnastics Club is an incorporated association and proudly affiliated with the Gymnastics and Kindergym Association of South Australia, the Australian Gymnastics Federation, and the Federation of International Gymnastics.
Duty of Care at Elizabeth Gymnastics Club
Our Commitment at Elizabeth Gymnastics Club
At Elizabeth Gymnastics Club, we are deeply committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where every gymnast can grow — both as an athlete and as an individual. Our duty of care is central to everything we do and is guided by the following core principles:
-
Clear Chain of Command: We maintain structured communication and leadership to ensure smooth operations and strong support for all athletes.
-
Safe & Inclusive Environment: We strive to provide a safe, respectful, and harmonious space where all gymnasts can train free from distractions and personal conflicts.
-
Qualified, Competent Coaching: Our coaches are dedicated professionals who uphold high standards of training, tailoring instruction to suit each gymnast’s stage of development.
-
Club Growth & Community: We are committed to the long-term growth of the club, continually enhancing our programs and facilities so all members can thrive.
-
Passionate & Purpose-Driven Coaching: Our coaching team is not only skilled but deeply passionate about helping each gymnast reach their full potential — in performance and beyond.
But our vision goes far beyond just building great athletes.
We believe in developing confident, resilient young people. Our training approach weaves in essential life skills such as determination, focus, courage, teamwork, self-belief, and self-esteem. We take pride in knowing that, long after they’ve retired from the sport, our gymnasts carry these traits into all areas of life.
At Elizabeth Gymnastics Club, every athlete becomes part of a supportive and growing family. We encourage our older gymnasts to step into leadership roles — as coaches, judges, and mentors — fostering a culture of giving back and community spirit.
Together, we are strong. Together, we are a team.
